The Miriam College-Child Study Center (MC-CSC) located in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City is the early childhood
education unit of Miriam College for children 2 to 5 years old. Our
First Step, Nursery, and Kindergarten programs provide students with a
variety of developmentally appropriate activities that make them
explore, investigate, discover, collaborate, create, and innovate.
Through intentional teaching, they engage in meaningful and relevant
activities that nurture them to become happy, confident, and lifelong
learners.
The First Step program espouses developmentally appropriate practices that reflect the children’s emerging interests and capabilities. It is based on an integrated and child-centered curriculum.
Morning Session at 8:00 to 10:15 AM
Afternoon Session at 12:30 to 2:45 PM
Nursery and Kindergarten program adopts an eclectic approach in teaching. Highly competent teachers constantly invite children to actively collaborate with others to think critically and creatively. The medium of instruction is in English. However, there are lessons and activities wherein Filipino language is used and love of country is strengthened.
The CSC olso holds an annual stage play as its culminating activity with all our students in the cast. The children’s stage play is written and directed by the school’s faculty and administrators. It is an all original Filipino play that highlights the talents of CSC students from First Step to Kindergarten.
